Important update - Headstart Program
Commencing this year, all GWSC students will participate in the Headstart Program. The final day for the 2025 academic year will be Friday 21st November, with all students commencing the 2026 academic year the following week
Dear GWSC Community,
Late last year, we communicated an important change to our Community regarding the Headstart Program which takes place for two weeks at the end of Term 4 each year. Historically, Headstart has only applied to students in Years 10 to 12 each year, where they would spend two weeks in their ‘new’ classes.
The following week, commencing Monday 24th November, all students will roll up to their new year levels for two weeks. This will mean new classes, new teachers, new content and lots of new and exciting opportunities. Headstart will conclude on Friday 5th December. Full student attendance at all year levels up until this date is expected.
Our End of Year Program will continue to operate for students who are in Years 8 to 10 (2026) up until the end of Term 4.
The following calendar clearly shows how Term 4 will look.
